Kimberly is no stranger to our office: we first met her in 2017, when she worked at Wille Donker as a student intern. At that time still in Alphen aan den Rijn. After a period in notarial practice in The Hague and her work as a family and inheritance lawyer in Amsterdam, our paths now cross again in Bodegraven.

Her interest in probate law arose during her time in the notary’s office. Drafting wills and prenuptial agreements, combined with settling estates, led to a love of the profession that has remained ever since. “By now, I wouldn’t want it any other way either,” Kimberly says.

Thanks to her experience in both notarial and legal practice, Kimberly knows that settling an estate is more than just a legal process. It is often an emotional process in which strategic thinking and empathetic action come together. “Settling an estate is not just about inheritance law, but also about loss and coping,” she explains. “I want my clients to know that they are not alone. Together, we work to find the best solution – one that is not only practical, but also helps them find peace and closure.”

Kimberly has now completed her first month at Wille Donker. She has found her way within the office, and her colleagues know how to find her as well. “After a warm welcome and a spirited relay race (yes, really a relay race!), I have landed well and am looking forward to working with the rest of the team to expand the inheritance law section even further,” Kimberly says enthusiastically.
