Vera Smeets graduated in 2005 from Leiden University, where she read law, specialising in company law. On graduation, she entered legal practice, establishing herself over a period of years as a specialist in personal and family law. It is in that field that she has been working since coming to Wille Donker advocaten in February 2009. Currently, she is following a specialization course at the Association of Family Lawyers and Divorce Mediators. In addition to her professional activities, Vera Smeets is involved with community groups. She is co-founder of Kiwanis Junior Club Alphen aan den Rijn and is, as a secretary, member of the board.
